Liam Coleman
Chair of the Board, L&QLiam is currently the Chair of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at the Financial Conduct Authority and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Customer Services Committee at VIVID Housing. Before these roles, he held several senior executive positions in the Financial Services sector.
Liam has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in various roles spanning retail and commercial banking and wholesale banking in his role as Treasurer at three major banking organisations.
Jo Makinson
Chief Investment Officer, AbriJo has held a number of finance director and chief executive roles in the health, housing and charity sectors over the past ten years. Most recently, Jo was Director of Finance and Transformation at St Monica Trust. She is particularly passionate about social housing and is a non-executive on the board at Abri. Jo started her career in London working with a social development consultancy. She then moved to Bristol and spent six years in PwC’s public sector team. During that time, Jo trained as a chartered accountant and worked alongside a range of purpose-driven organisations working to make lives better for vulnerable people and communities.
Mark Washer
Group Chief Executive, SNGMark is the Group Chief Executive Officer of SNG and an SNG Board member. Prior to his appointment, he was the CEO at Sovereign from 2018 until the merger with Network Homes in 2023. With extensive experience in the housing sector, he has been Chief Financial Officer at Clarion Housing Group and has been Vice Chair of the National Housing Federation (NHF). Mark is a trustee of Leadership 2025, a charity developing Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) leadership in the housing sector.

Gloria has held several executive, consultancy and non-executive roles in the social housing sector over the last 18 years, including at Origin, Clarion, East Thames, Affinity Sutton, Metropolitan and Wandle.

Director of Finance and Resources, Soha HousingNasreen is a qualified accountant with over 20 years experience as Finance Director in the housing associations sector. In between her Director positions, Nasreen worked for the social housing regulator as a Financial Analyst. Nasreen is passionate about service delivery and is motivated by making a real difference through leading, developing and maintaining excellent customer focused services.
Garry Booth
Chief Financial Officer, CitizenGary was appointed Chief Financial Officer on a permanent basis in October 2021 and is responsible for the Finance, Treasury, People, ICT and Assurance functions within Citizen. He has worked within Finance and Corporate Services at Citizen since 2003 having previously worked for Deloitte.

Janette is the Executive Director of Finance at Bernicia Group, has held this position since 2019, and has been with Bernicia for over 18 years. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants and has responsibility for Finance, ICT, Risk and Assurance across the Group. Assistant Director of Finance, Wythenshawe Community Housing GroupCatherine Phillips is the Assistant Director of Finance at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). She is responsible for finance, income recovery and financial inclusion teams. She started work in an accountancy practice auditing and supporting many not for profit organisations and housing associations. There followed a number of roles in the third and public sectors including a charity, an NGO, Register Providers and a university. Catherine has worked at 3 Registered providers, and been a Board member at another. Catherine has been at WCHG for the last few years. Catherine chairs the North West National Federation of Housing Finance Group. Catherine has a passion for making money go further for the customer and the organisation; therefore making good VFM decisions. As part of the new leadership team at WCHG, Catherine has enjoyed driving change and seeing results.
Jane Harrison
Finance Director, Soho HousingJane has been Finance Director at Soho Housing for over four years. She has more than twenty-five years’ experience at senior executive and non-executive levels within both large and smaller housing providers and as assurance director and sector specialist at Grant Thornton LLP. Her most recent non-executive appointment is as board member and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for Advance Housing and Support. Jane chairs the editorial board for the Housing Association Finance Guidance published jointly by CIPFA and the NHF. She is passionate about providing affordable, quality homes in places and communities where people want to live but can’t afford to on the open market; and is a regular contributor and speaker.
Matthias Barker
Policy Leader, National Housing FederationMatthias is the Policy Leader for finance at the National Housing Federation, having joined in 2024. His brief covers rent policy, the financial sustainability of the sector, and new investment models in affordable housing, as well as a range of other finance policy issues including coordinating the housing SORP. He previously worked in L&Q's strategic research team, where he led on policy development and research on behalf of both L&Q, and the G15, whilst L&Q were in the chair.
